Nominations are now open to join the Bendigo Tourism Board Inc, the official membership organisation that represents Greater Bendigo’s tourism industry.
The Bendigo Tourism Board Inc. works in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo to set the strategic direction for tourism growth and to represent the needs of the industry across the Bendigo region. The Board also supports the City of Greater Bendigo’s Tourism and Major Events team to deliver tourism services to our members, advocating for the industry’s and community’s economic interests, and seeking new opportunities.
The Bendigo Tourism Board Inc. consists of 10 representatives, of which:
- 6 seats are held by members elected by other members of Bendigo Tourism
- 4 seats are strategically appointed by the City of Greater Bendigo, one of which is a Greater Bendigo Councillor representative.
Each usual term of representation is for a period of 2 years, commencing from the Annual General Meeting of the year of appointment until the Annual General Meeting held in the year of the two-year term expiry. The Board meets monthly, for 10 meetings annually.
Nominations for the 2023-2025 term are to be completed by COB Friday 15 September 2023.
Successful candidates will be announced at the Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday 25 September 2023.
