While we keep our distance to stop the spread of COVID19, staying active is critical for both our physical and mental health.

Many of our usual venues are closed but it is important to stay active, both physically and mentally during this time.

Regular exercise is good for both physical and mental health.  It has many benefits including;

  • reducing the risk of health conditions like stroke and heart disease
  • controlling weight
  • reducing stress and anxiety
  • improving sleep

There are still plenty of activities you can do safely without putting a halt to all of your fun.  Here are activities you can still enjoy.

Take a walk or cycle around one of our beautiful local walking and cycling tracks.

Take in some culture through some online exhibitions.

You can also get involved in arts and cultural activities.
