The Board of Bendigo Tourism Inc allocates a limited amount of its funds each year to assist the generation of new, creative and innovative projects, and acknowledge outstanding contributions to the industry.
2018 – Tourism Grants Program
The second round of Grants for 2018 are now open, and close 15 November.
The Bendigo Tourism Board Grants program is aimed at assisting groups or businesses looking to introduce innovative projects which have the potential to increase visitation to the Bendigo Region.
Grants are available up to the amount of $5,000 for projects demonstrating innovation and that have potential to attract visitors to the city, with particular attention being paid to those that encourage visitors to stay the night.
Whilst Bendigo Tourism members will be given preference when awarding funding, non-members are encouraged to apply if they think they have a project that fits the bill.

– Bendigo VIP Tours
– Bridgeward Olive Grove
– Mister Grimsby Coffee

Kathryn Mackenzie Award
Applications have now closed. Applications reopen May 2019.
This award recognises the outstanding contribution by an individual to the Bendigo tourism industry.
Kathryn Mackenzie was the Executive Manager of Tourism with the City of Greater Bendigo for 25 years, during which time Bendigo became one of the most visited destinations in Australia.
In 2015 Kathryn received the RACV Victorian Tourism Award for her Outstanding Contribution by an Individual to the Victorian tourism industry.
Open to individuals working professionally or voluntarily in the local tourism industry, the award is presented annually to recognise the efforts of someone in the industry who has made a big difference. Last year, Colin Thompson, Director of the Bendigo Blues and Roots Music Festival received the inaugural award at the Bendigo Tourism Board Annual General Meeting.
