The Board of Bendigo Tourism Inc allocates a limited amount of its funds each year to assist the generation of new, creative and innovative projects, and acknowledge outstanding contributions to the industry.
Kathryn Mackenzie Award

This award recognises the outstanding contribution by an individual to the Bendigo tourism industry.
Kathryn Mackenzie was the Executive Manager of Tourism with the City of Greater Bendigo for 25 years, during which time Bendigo became one of the most visited destinations in Australia.
In 2015 Kathryn received the RACV Victorian Tourism Award for her Outstanding Contribution by an Individual to the Victorian tourism industry.
Open to individuals working professionally or voluntarily in the local tourism industry, the award is presented annually to recognise the efforts of someone in the industry who has made a big difference. Last year Karl Penrose, Mine Manager at Central Deborah Goldmine, received the inaugural award at the Bendigo Tourism Board Annual General Meeting.
