RENEW your Bendigo Tourism membership for 2020-2021

Dear member,

The end of June 2020 sees a wrap on the 2019-2020 membership year. And what a year it has been!!!

The first 6 months saw Bendigo’s Tourism industry thriving like never before and recognised with industry tourism awards, great campaigns and record numbers of visitors.
The last six months have surely tested us as an industry, city, region and country with the bush fires earlier on in the year closely followed by the COVID crisis. Learning how to pivot our businesses during these unprecedented times have proved challenging and downright impossible for many who have been forced to close their doors.

We thank you for partnering and collaborating with us as individual businesses and an industry. Together we have brought more people to Bendigo than ever before, which has contributed to a thriving tourism industry for our region. With your help, we will be able to  survive, revive and thrive as an industry again.

With the current COVID-19 situation in Victoria, our industry is facing further challenges with restrictions on businesses and the movement of people around the state. We are busy preparing for the next stages so that we are ready to bounce back as effectively as possible.

It is vital that we continue to work together and support each other, and staying connected as an industry has never been more important. The City of Greater Bendigo’s Tourism & Major events team, The Bendigo Tourism Board and our Bendigo Tourism partners and corporate donors together have collaborated to make it possible to do all that we do.

We couldn’t do this work without you!

And so as of July 1^st our new 2020-2021 membership year begins and we look forward to working together again. To assist businesses during this tough period, the Bendigo Tourism Board has decided to defer all membership payments until January 2021.

How to re-new your membership!
You would have received an automated email from our portal asking you to renew your membership.

So here is what you need to do:

• Choose your membership level you would like to renew with. The cost for your membership is $0 on sign up and your fees are deferred until January of 2021 as per the Bendigo Tourism Boards decision.
• We will contact you with a personalised phone call in July to make sure we have all your up to date business info and have the discussions needed for the year ahead.

What if I don’t want to renew?
No worries, we have enjoyed our time working with you and understand you are doing what you need for your business.
Just drop us an email to let us know and we will remove you from our mailing list, website and other benefits.

2020-2021 Membership fees
As per the Bendigo Tourism board’s decision, you will be sent a statement for your 2020-2021 membership fees, and payment has been deferred and is not due until January of 2021. Membership costs haven’t increased from the previous year.

• YES, you can pay in full before January 2021
• YES, you can start right away paying your membership fees monthly
• YES, you can start in January paying 6 monthly payments of your membership fees.
• YES, your invoice will have full details on setting up monthly payments.

2019-2020 membership fees
The Bendigo Tourism Board decided at the start of the COVID crisis in March to defer any outstanding membership fees of members. These deferred fees are payable by September 2020.

Networking events, launches and the Annual General Meeting
Like any meetings and gathering during these covid times, we will arrange our networking nights, launches and our AGM when it is safe to do so.

We look forward to another successful year partnering with you and your business. No doubt there are some unknowns ahead over the next few months but together we will navigate it all and come out stronger and thriving on the other side.
